When I was a child, no Sunday afternoon with my Grandma Jane Cobabe was complete without us begging her to perform one or more of her recitations. She had learned a number of stories and poems as a girl that she used to entertained her large family of children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.
Grandma has been gone for almost 30 years, but when I read some of the stories and poems she used to perform for us, I can still hear her voice. This April 4 marks the 100th wedding anniversary of my grandparents, Vernon Lewis Cobabe, Sr and Jane Neibaur Cobabe. In their memory, I decided to create a place where I could post some of Grandma's stories and poems.

So many of you cousins remember these recitations from childhood. I only remembrances hearing them as an adult. Thank you, my sweet Rhondie. This is wonderful!
